June 2016.🌺 What is it? 🌺
Migraines are ‘usually’ very severe headaches felt as a throbbing pain, all over or on one side of the head. There are several types of migraine, with the main three being; migraine with aura (specific warning signs), migraine without aura (the most common type) and migraine aura without headache (silent migraine, headache does not develop but symptoms do). Chronic Migraines involves having migraines for a long period of time, or getting them for the rest of your life. Symptoms include persistent migraines, nausea, vomiting and increased sensitivity. Symptoms that need medical attention are paralysis, slurred speech, headache causing weakness and lack of movement, temperatures with confusion and a rash. Migraines can seriously affect people’s quality of life and stop normal daily activities.
There is a lot of stigma attached to migraines. It can come across as ‘just a bad headache’ but migraines can become extremely severe, and cause excruciating pain alongside other symptoms. And chronic migraines also usually accompanies other illnesses such as Anaemia, IBS, Fibromyalgia.
